Visitors are welcome to tour our cattery.
TheKarakashKats is a small TICA registered cattery located in Tampa
Bay, Florida.  We are Susan and  Karl Karakash and we primarily breed
early generation Savannah kittens (F1, F2, and F3) and Serengeti kittens.
All our kittens for sale, are for pets only, not breeders.

Savannah cats tend to be larger than most domestic cats.  Savannah cats
are a feline hybrid that are bred to resemble the African Serval.
The F1 Savannah cats are 50+% Serval, F2 Savannah cats are 25+% Serval, and F3 Savannah cats are 12.5+% Serval. All of our F1 Savannah
kittens have Serengeti mothers and a Serval father. Our Serval is an excellent father for our Savannah kittens because of his looks, size, and
temperament. Our Serengetis are excellent F1 Savannah mothers
because of their looks and temperament.

Serengeti cats are usually the same size as most domestic cats and are
a domestic cat breed.  They are also bred to resemble the Serval but are
NOT a hybrid of the Serval.  They are primarily a cross between the
Oriental Shorthair and the Bengal cat but they can have many other
breeds that can contribute to the Serval look such as Ocicat, Egyptian
Mau, Siamese, etc..

Both the Savannah cat and the Serengeti cat are highly intelligent,
very energetic, playful, and have many dog like characteristics.  Besides
being leashed trained, they can also be toilet trained.   They love to jump
and be in high places like most cats but the F1-F3 Savannahs can jump
much higher because of their size and because the have so much Serval
in them.  A Serval is capable of jumping vertically 8+ feet from a standing
position.

All our Savannah kittens and Serengeti kittens are born and raised in our
home and we often have kittens available for deposit or sale.  We wean
our kittens at an early age so they bond stronger to humans and become
loving  cats.  We litter train and harness train all the kittens so they are
ready for a walk when they arrive at their new home and they know how
to properly use a litter box.  We take pictures and videos often of the
kittens so their new parents can watch them grow up before the kittens
are old enough to go live with them.

All our Savannah and Serengeti kittens go to their new homes
vaccinated and with a recent health certificate from a licensed
veterinarian.  All of our kittens are health guaranteed as per
Florida Pet Law 828.29.
